Unusual and Sculptural American Country Table, circa 1820-1830

An unusual, sculptural early 19th century American occasional table, in ebonized pine and tiger maple, the square top with oval corners over a drawer mounted on the underside, threaded onto a vase- and ring-turned post and four vase and ring-turned legs joined by five block, vase, and ring-turned stretchers with knob tops, all in old black paint over earlier red wash, with early nails, possibly New England, circa 1820-1830. 

Perfect as an occasional, end or bedside table.
