18th Century Italian Pen and Ink Baroque Candlestick Drawing

A fine quality 18th century Italian drawing of a Baroque pricket candlestick, in sepia ink on paper, joined in the middle, the pricket, or spike, of the candlestick over a circular candle drip pan above a baluster turned base, elaborately ornamented with acanthus leaves, rosettes, C-scrolls and shaped cartouches, the largest one at the base centered by a saint with a book, likely Saint John the Evangelist holding the Bible, raised on a shaped triangular plinth supported by animal paw feet. Beautifully framed in a fine period gilded and walnut veneered frame.  Italian, circa 1730.
