A Swiss museum poster for an exhibition of jazz and pop vinyl record album covers, featuring a graphic minimalist black circle with dot in the middle, representing a vinyl record, with helvetica typeface and a purple border, designed by Markus Brugisser for the Applied Arts Museum, in the International Typographic Style, also known as the Swiss Style which was very influential in graphic design world wide, offset screen printed by Bea Spillman, in Zurich, Switzerland, circa 1978.

The International Typographic Style, also known as the Swiss Style, is a graphic design style developed in Switzerland in the 1950s, with roots in Bauhaus design of the 1920s and 30s, that emphasizes cleanliness, readability and objectivity. Hallmarks of the style are asymmetric layouts, use of a grid, sans-serif typefaces and flush left, ragged right text. Many of the early International Typographic Style works featured typography as a primary design element and it is for this that the style is named.
